My ode to a recent email we got!

Posted by BookWenches on December 14, 2009 at 11:44 PM

I knew when we started a review website that it would open us up to some negativity. I don't let it get to me...really. Whenever we get one of those "lovely" emails, I smile and grit my teeth. Of course, Bobby gets an ear full and I just go on being happy.

I know that those things people say online they would never say to our faces; the internet allows for a large amount of passive aggressiveness. I am no saint (zip it Bobby!) and I definitely have my opinion, but my mom taught me manners and tact.

My motto #1:

Laughter is the best medicine. So bring on the LOL Cats

My motto #2:

If you can't say something nice...piss on you! LOL Just kidding!

Teagan (who still might release my kick ass zombies! LOL)

Hello Book Wenches:
I couldn't agree more about the "lovely" passive-aggressiveness anonymity that email and the internet allow...And I'm downloading this picture and having t-shirts made! Absolutely brilliant! (My favorite parental quote? "If ignorance was bliss, you'd be the happiest person on the face of the Earth!) Keep up the great website.

Teagan is my hero. She gets all upset when someone picks on me! :-)

At least it all keeps me humble. I may have been an English major almost a quarter century ago, but that doesn't mean I don't butcher the English language every now and then. Typos here and there, an extra "is" or two...it's all in a day's work. Heh.

Hmmm wonder if I am spelling "budinsky" and "get a life" correctly?

Teag.
