Hello, everyone! Thanks for joining me on my Doubtless blog tour. ( ? , and the month before that…) eLeave a comment and you might win one of my backlist books!
Today we’re talking with Steve Campbell, the hero of my new novella, Doubtless.
Q: Hi, Steve. How’s it going?
A: Better now, thanks. Although it was a little touch and go there for awhile. *laughs*
Q: I’ll just jump right in and ask – how are things with you and Connor?
A: Getting back to normal. I mean, it was a little awkward when he first found out I,
um . . .
Q: That you’re in love with him.
A: What you said. *fidgets* Connor and I have been friends and business partners for so long, I was afraid telling him how I really felt would ruin everything. Plus, it wasn’t like anything could ever come of it, with him and Wes getting married soon.
Q: You played a key role in getting Connor and Wes together, right?
A: Yeah, you could say that. *laughs nervously* Buying Wes for Connor as a birthday gift wasn’t one of my more inspired ideas, but luckily for them, it’s turned out well.
Q: But not so well for you?
A: I’m moving on. In fact, I just met a really interesting guy last week. His name’s Gil.
Q: Do tell! Is he another scientist?
A: He’s an auto mechanic. *grins* I invited him out to dinner after he fixed my Ferrari. We’ll see how it goes.
(And yes, Steve is on his way to his own happily-ever-after. Stay tuned! J)
Loving your best friend is hard . . . especially when he's marrying someone else.
On the surface, Steve Campbell seems to have it all: a beautiful home, a snazzy car, and a dream job as one of the country’s top 3-D optics researchers. But underneath, he’s restless and dissatisfied, tired of empty encounters with leggy lab assistants and endless evenings alone.
A chance meeting with a handsome escort lifts Steve’s spirits and opens his eyes to his long-repressed attraction to men—and his love for his best friend and business partner, Connor Morrison.
Connor might’ve loved Steve like that once, but now it’s too late for their happily ever after; Connor’s about to ask his boyfriend to marry him. Fortunately, it's never too late to learn about yourself, and maybe Steve can find a happy ending on his own.
EPIC Award–winning author Cat Grant lives by the sea in beautiful Monterey, California, with one persnickety feline and entirely too many books and DVDs. When she's not writing, she sings along (badly!) to whatever's on her iPod shuffle, watches lots of movies, and fantasizes about kinky sex with Michael Fassbender.
