Who are the 'Wenches?

BookWench - /bʊk//wɛntʃ/ - noun. An opinionated woman who reads a lot and has a compulsive need to share her thoughts.

B. D. Whitney - BDWhitney@bookwenches.com

What are my passions? Reading, motorbikes, writing, cats, my husband, and my fabulous adult son. I won't read just anything, but I'm not a particularly intellectual reader either. I read for enjoyment -- pure and simple -- and I especially like suspense and romance. No, I never outgrew my adolescent love for mush, although my tastes have "matured" over the decades. Not telling how many decades, of course.

The perfect book for me? Give me love, sex, humor, and a plot that I can get my teeth into. Throw in a mystery or some derring-do. Shake well, and serve with an olive.

Over twenty years ago, I graduated college with a B.A. in English. What does that mean? That I know how to read and can happily mangle the English language. Just call me queen of all typos. I'm happy to take your comments and constructive criticism as long as you understand that to err is human. Cheers! --Bobby

Teagan S. Boyd - Teagan@bookwenches.com

Even though this wench has an extremely busy life with her kids and husband she never fails to find time to read. This wench will read just about anything.  I am a Jane Austen fanatic, a Twilighter, a rabid Harry Potter fan, and a sucker for a humorous story. My tastes run all over the spectrum. My aim is to share my take on some of the books I read. I read for enjoyment, I don't read to criticize or belittle so I do tend to wear my rose-colored glasses most of the time. Without reading and music, life would be moot.
